
Lauren Roberts
About
Lauren Roberts ’13 discovered her passion for accounting through her love of mathematics and problem-solving. After earning her degree, she began her career at Ernst & Young in the Assurance service line, where she gained valuable audit experience across a wide range of industries. In March 2016, Lauren was appointed by the Cincinnati Public Schools (CPS) Board of Education as the district’s Internal Auditor. Since joining CPS, she has played a pivotal role in establishing and expanding the district’s Internal Audit department.
Now, as Chief Audit Executive, Lauren serves as a trusted advisor to both the administration and the Board of Education, leading a team focused on strengthening accountability, transparency, and resource efficiency. In addition to her work at CPS, Lauren has been an active member of the Miami University Accountancy Advisory Group since 2018. She has also served as Secretary for the Cincinnati Chapter of The Institute of Internal Auditors since 2019.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a miniMBA Professional Certificate from Miami University’s Farmer School of Business. Lauren is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
