About
Exploring majors and careers with students is one of my favorite aspects of working as a Career Advisor. I too explored my major in college and realized that paths are not always linear. After graduating from college, I did two full-time volunteer programs one just north of Kingston, Jamaica where I primarily taught 3rd and 6th grade. And then in Chicago, Illinois were I worked with a scholarship foundation for college students. Both of these experiences led me to my passion of working in higher education. After Chicago, I completed a master's degree in College Student Personnel and I am currently finishing my Ph.D. at Miami in Student Affairs in Higher Education. Reviewing resumes and supporting students to highlight their strengths as well as find internship opportunities are two other things I enjoy about career advising.
I love food and exploring great places to eat as well as cooking and baking.
