Biography

I am a faculty member of the Department of Entrepreneurship at Miami University, where I teach courses on Business Models and New Venture Creation. Every aspect of my work prioritizes student growth and development. I strive to build lasting mentoring relationships with students that extend beyond graduation, fostering development not just as entrepreneurs but as lifelong learners and leaders.

In addition to my academic role, I am the founder of the Luas Group, a boutique consulting firm dedicated to providing consulting and coaching services for entrepreneurs, small businesses, and entrepreneurship outreach programs. I am passionate about empowering people to create their own lane of opportunity by increasing access to entrepreneurship. I earned my undergraduate degree at Thomas More University and completed my master's in entrepreneurship and innovation from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. During my graduate studies abroad, I focused on gaining a global perspective on entrepreneurship ecosystems, the entrepreneurship process, and developing entrepreneurial programs. I earned my Ed.D. in Leadership from Northern Kentucky University with a focus on Entrepreneurship Education. My research explores how entrepreneurship education fosters leadership and transferable competencies that drive workforce readiness and economic development, bridging the gap between higher education, employers, and community impact.
