Biography
Dr. Xiaowen Huang is Associate Dean for Faculty & Staff Excellence at the Richard T. Farmer School of Business, Miami University, where she leads faculty and staff development, performance, and organizational initiatives to support a high-performing academic community. She previously served as the Bill Moeckel Business Professor and Chair of the Management Department, providing leadership in departmental strategy and operations. Dr. Huang received her Ph.D. in Operations and Management Science from the University of Minnesota. Her research focuses on how firms leverage supply chain, technology, and operations strategies to achieve competitive advantage, with publications in leading journals such as Journal of Operations Management, Production and Operations Management, and Journal of Supply Chain Management, among others. She is also a co-author of the Handbook of Metrics for Research in Operations Management and a recipient of multiple teaching, research, and service awards.
