Biography
Dr. Matthew M. Wieland is an Associate Professor at Miami University's Farmer School of Business. Matt earned his Ph.D. and Master of Business from Indiana University, and his B.S.A. from the University of Akron. Prior to his doctoral work, he was a senior tax consultant for Arthur Andersen in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Wieland was also on the faculty at the University of Georgia and the Kelley School of Business, Indianapolis.
Dr. Wieland's research examines how capital markets use accounting information. His work has been published in the Review of Accounting Studies, Contemporary Accounting Research, the Journal of Business, Finance, and Accounting, Accounting Horizons.
Dr. Wieland is also a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) and is a member of the American Accounting Association.
