Farmer School among top 15 public business schools in 2026 Poets&Quants for Undergrads ranking
The Farmer School was also ranked in the top 5 among public business schools for career outcomes
In newly released rankings, the Farmer School of Business at Miami University has been ranked as one of the top 15 public business schools in the U.S. by Poets&Quants for Undergrads.
The Farmer School was ranked No. 14 among public business schools nationwide, up from No. 18 last year, and remains the top business school in Ohio.
The school was also ranked among publics at:
- No. 4 for career outcomes
- No. 7 for student experience
“Our rankings reflect a clear and intentional focus on student preparedness. We don’t leave success to chance at the Farmer School of Business. We invest in every student, develop them intentionally, and connect them directly to opportunity, so that every graduate leaves not just with a degree, but with the momentum to build a meaningful, long-term career,” FSB Dean and Mitchell P. Rales Chair in Business Leadership Jenny Darroch said. “These outcomes are driven by high-stakes experiential learning, deeply engaged faculty and staff, and an alumni community that remains invested in student success.’
Over the past few years, the Farmer School of Business has invested more resources into helping students find their first job after graduation, including adding staff, integrating career development into coursework, and creating a dedicated careers space that’s easily accessible for students. The No. 4 public ranking for career outcomes is 10 places higher than in 2025.
“This is a true testament to the work of the entire FSB Career Ecosystem, and the hard work of our students. We would not have such success without the combination of time and effort given by our amazing alumni and faculty, and the care of our FSB Careers staff that provides direct support to our students and the resource solutions they need to succeed,” Director of Career Development Michael Webb said. “We appreciate the investment that the school makes into enabling the best outcomes for our students.”
“We expect our students to perform in environments that mirror the complexity and expectations of business so that by the time they interview for internships or full-time roles, they are drawing on real skills and experience,” Darroch said. “That is the standard we have built, and it will continue to move the Farmer School forward.”
P&QU listed the Farmer School of Business as one of 10 Undergraduate Business Programs To Watch last summer.
Poets&Quant’s undergraduate business school rankings are based on three categories they believe best measure the undergrad business school experience: the quality and diversity of students enrolling in a program (Admissions Standards); the ability of a business school to nurture, challenge, and grow those young minds (Academic Experience); and how the market and world’s top employers respond to those graduates when leaving the school (Career Outcomes). Each category is given an equal weight in the final score of 33.3%.
