2026 SCOM Awards Banquet

On April 28th, we celebrated the incredible achievements of our Supply Chain and Operations Management (SCOM) students from the 2025–2026 academic year at our Annual SCOM Awards Banquet, held at the Marcum Hotel.

Hosted by the Center for Supply Chain Excellence at Miami University (CSCE), the evening brought together scholarship recipients, student organization executives, faculty, and industry leaders to recognize the hard work and dedication of our students. While we were missing a few students who couldn’t attend, we are proud to celebrate all of their accomplishments.

We were honored to have Jocelyn W. join us in support of the EY Women in Supply Chain Scholarship recipients: Lauren Kuss, Riley Watkins, Sydney Soler, and Caroline Monahan. Thank you for your continued support!

A special thank you to Kristin Toy for celebrating with our Honda Textbook Scholarship winners, Alexandra Walters and Natalie Barnicoat. We were also delighted to have Koko Yamashita CSCP, from the ASCM Dayton Chapter for supporting our program and awarding CPIM exam fees to two deserving students, Elaine Schaft and Elena Hentz, as well as recognizing Casey Hargett, CPIM, with the ASCM Outstanding Student Award.

Congratulations to our Miami University Supply Chain Management Association student Executive Board members: Gavin Panitz, Casey Hargett, CPIM, Elaine Schaft, and Ben Jubach. We also recognize the student executives of our WISE - Miami University: Lexi Laskonis, Natalie Suto, Marilyn Janecek, Sydney Soler, Chloe Gallup, Caroline Monahan, and Mandy Sackett.

We also proudly recognized Nathan Rudy, CPIM, as this year’s Honors Day Award recipient for Outstanding Academic Achievement in Supply Chain and Operations Management.

Thank you to our leadership and faculty for their continued support, including Monique Murfield, Tom Farnbacher, Department Chair Yao Jin, and faculty members Matt Schwieterman, Nicolò Masorgo, Rajib Dutta, and Junhao (Vincent) Yu.

Congratulations to all of our award recipients—we’re proud of everything you’ve accomplished and excited for what’s ahead!
