New Talon cluster a major leap forward in accelerated computing, AI technology infrastructure at Miami

The Talon cluster is getting ready for prime time, and we’re looking forward to all the new AI and quantum capabilities it will give us. Research enabled by the Talon cluster will span many different departments and will help us position Miami as a leader. The cluster itself is a technological marvel, as it’s cooled by geothermal energy, which contributes to Miami’s sustainability goals.

ICYMI: Supporting Technology and Building Connections: Meet Lucy Anderson
As a Support Analyst I at Miami University, Lucy Anderson plays a key role in keeping technology running smoothly across campus. Her responsibilities include providing IT support for staff and faculty in a variety of departments, as well as AV support for many of the classrooms on campus. From hardware and software troubleshooting to deploying new computers and resolving classroom projection issues, Lucy helps ensure that the technology Miami relies on every day functions effectively.
