Meet the Team
The folks of the Project and Portfolio Office are excited to work with offices around Miami, whether they are guiding clients through the project intake process or diving deep into multi-year implementations. Here is the team that makes the magic happen!
Jeffrey Toaddy: Manager, Project and Portfolio
Jeffrey Toaddy leads the Project and Portfolio Team within IT Services. He aims to build on the team’s considerable capabilities in project management and business analysis by ensuring that we are always working as efficiently as possible, and always learning from each other. A perfect marriage of his passions for inclusivity, cross-divisional collaboration, and technology, Jeffrey is the founding Chair of the Technology Inclusivity Program team.
He started working with IT Services in 2004, and teaching for the College of Engineering and Computing in 2007.
Jeffrey’s favorite hobby is aviation, including flight instruction, ultralight flight, and building an experimental airplane out at the Miami University Airport.
Erin Mills: Senior Project Management Specialist
Erin Mills is a Senior Project Management Specialist at Miami University of Ohio in the IT Services department. She earned her degree from Miami in 2010 and began her career as a developer in the corporate world and came to Miami as a developer in IT in 2013. In 2018 Erin transitioned into project management and has since taken up managing the IAM program for Miami. She is a mother of two little girls and in her limited free time loves to play video games and crochet.
David Schaefer: Project Management Specialist II
David Schaefer is a Project Management Specialist II within IT Services. He brings years of experience in IT at Miami including project management, client engagement, application development and support, and business intelligence. He enjoys bringing people and technology together through a project structure to solve problems. He has an MBA and bachelor's degree in finance from Miami, along with an associate's degree in computer science from Franklin University. Outside of work, David enjoys spending time with his wife and grown kids, hiking, and traveling.
Glenn Chundrlek: Project Management Specialist I
Glenn Chundrlek, PMP PSM1 is a Project Management Specialist at Miami University. He is a Scrum Master for the Business Intelligence team, and also manages projects for the Enterprise Operations Group. Glenn earned his Project Management Professional certification in 2008, and has worked on Service Desk, IT Infrastructure, and Software Development projects for various companies including Siemens, Procter and Gamble, Hewlett-Packard Enterprise, and Kroger. Glenn is a father of two who enjoys reading science fiction, listening to music, trivia competitions, and cheering on his hometown Chicago sports teams.
Joanna Kellogg: Scrum Master
Joanna Kellogg, PSM I, CPA, joined IT Services as a Scrum Master in January 2023 after several decades as a “Friend of IT”. In her role she supports the Sharks and Iterators development teams, and particularly enjoys encouraging each team member to be their best self, both personally and professionally.
Prior to joining Miami in 2018, Joanna has worked in public accounting, corporate accounting, and corporate finance. She is a Miami alum, enjoys using spreadsheets for every conceivable task, skiing, discovering new things to forage, travel, and esoteric baking projects.
Kelly Donathan: Business Analyst II
Kelly regularly meets with many areas across the University including IT Services, President's Office, Academic Personnel, Advancement and Finance & Business Services to help identify areas where technology solutions can help with strategic business needs. She supports two development teams, The Iterators & The Sharks. Kelly started working at Miami in 2013 and since then has earned an Associates degree in Business Management Technology and a bachelor's degree in Computer Information Technology with a concentration in Agile. In 2023, she also earned her Entry
Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA).
Kelly is the mother of two children and likes to spend time with them working on their 4-H projects. She also likes crafting, listening to music, and spending time outside.
Fred Cook: Business Analyst II
Fred Cook is a Business Analyst II in Miami University’s IT Department. He graduated from Miami with a degree in Music in 1976 and an MBA in Marketing in 1982. After Miami, Fred worked in a number of positions in Sales, Sales Management, Process Engineering, Project Management and as Enterprise Analyst. In his current role, Fred supports multiple development teams aligned with Academic Affairs, Student Affairs and Student Success. Outside of work, Fred and his wife Hope try to keep up with all the kids (8) and Grandkids (5), as well as enjoying gardening, golf and fishing.
