Career Development for Students

Career Services and Professional Development helps Miami University Regionals students develop essential career development skills and job search tools to support career success. Through resume and cover letter support, interview preparation, and access to Handshake, Miami’s career platform for internships and jobs, students are equipped to connect with employers and explore career opportunities.

Handshake: Your Career Connection

Handshake is the central hub for career planning and engagement at Miami University Regionals. Handshake is designed to connect you with employers, internships, and career opportunities that align with your program, skills, and goals. Whether you’re exploring career options, searching for an internship, or preparing for full-time employment, Handshake is your starting point.

Through Handshake, Regionals students gain direct access to employers actively seeking Miami talent — many of whom partner with our programs to offer hands-on, career-connected experiences.

Use it to schedule appointments with their career advisor, register for career fairs and workshops, and sign up for professional development events.
