Northeast Ohio Medical School (NEOMED) Early Assurance Pathway

Early Assurance Program (EAP) Overview

The Early Assurance Program (EAP) is a partnership between Miami University and Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED). This program offers a three-step pathway to admission to NEOMED’s College of Medicine.

Step 1: EAP Application

Students apply to the EAP through the Mallory-Wilson Center for Healthcare Education (MWC). If accepted, they are nominated for a reserved seat at NEOMED’s College of Medicine. Please note: This is not an official offer of admission.

Step 2: Nomination

Students accepted for a nomination will then apply to NEOMED via PostbacCAS. A nomination will be submitted by the MWC, and an interview invitation will be extended.

Step 3: NEOMED Application

Students accepted into the EAP are then eligible to apply directly to NEOMED through AMCAS. Upon verification that all program requirements have been met, an official offer of admission will be extended.

Program Requirements

After initial acceptance into the EAP, students maintain their eligibility by:

  • Maintaining a cumulative and science GPA of 3.4 or higher
  • Achieving an MCAT score of 506 or above

Additional hours of extracurricular and healthcare experience are required.
