Ohio Northern University (ONU) PharmD 4+4 Pathway
Criteria:
Students from Miami University who meet the following criteria are guaranteed an admission interview for the PharmD Program.
- Science/Math GPA of 2.75 or higher
- Completion of 60 credit hours, including the following courses with a grade of C (2.00) or higher
- General Chemistry 8 hours
- Organic Chemistry 8 hours
- General Biology 4 hours
- Physics 3 hours
- Calculus 3 hours
- Statistics 3 hours
- Anatomy/Physiology 8 hours
- English Composition
- Social Science
- Communication
- Humanities
Note: our Pre-health track in the Premedical and Pre-health Studies co-major satisfies most of these course requirements.
Application:
Upon completion of these specified pre-requisite courses at Miami University, students may apply to ONU’s PharmD Program. This Agreement requires that students apply and be accepted and enrolled into ONU under ONU’s then-current standard admission requirements.
- Candidates must apply via the PharmCAS (common application system). Students may meet with an ONU transfer specialist to complete the application. Students must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 and must also maintain a good financial standing at ONU, as determined by ONU. Students who meet the admissions criteria and participate in an in-person campus visit to ONU will receive a voucher to cover the expense of the PharmCAS application fee to apply to ONU.
- Miami University students who are admitted to ONU will have catalog rights from the year in which they enroll and will be governed by ONU’s policies provided in the ONU Student Handbook.
- Students must earn their Miami University bachelor’s degree before their first term of enrollment at ONU.
- In order for credits to transfer, the grade must be C (2.00) or higher.
