The amount Miami withholds from your earnings is determined by the number of pay periods in one year.
The following deductions are made before federal taxes are taken into account.
The amount deducted from your pay will depend on what you elected when you set up your Supplemental Retirement Plan.
If you are enrolled in Miami's health insurance, dental insurance, or voluntary vision plan, you will see the per-pay amount for each of these benefits deducted from your pay.
If you are enrolled in the high deductible health insurance plan, you will have a Health Savings Account (HSA). If you have completed the HSA certification and are eligible for the HSA, the amount you chose to have deposited into your HSA will be deducted from your paycheck.
Employer HSA Contribution: Miami University contributes up to $1,000 annually for Single coverage or $2,000 annually for Family coverage toward your Health Savings Account (HSA).
The employer contribution is distributed evenly throughout the calendar year across your pay periods.
Employer contributions are prorated based on your benefits coverage start date.
If you have purchased a parking pass from Parking and Transportation Services, you will see a deduction for the per-pay amount of that pass.
