Interested in an entry-level position in the high-demand field of manufacturing?
Or are you already working in manufacturing and want to upgrade your skills?
Consider Miami University Regionals new certificate program in manufacturing foundations.
Offered in the Department of Engineering Technology with support of the Ohio Engineering Technology Educators Association, the new program is fast, affordable, and lays the groundwork that can lead to a rewarding career or a college degree.
The coursework is presented in a hybrid (combination of online/in-person) format, and can be completed in as little as one semester. You’ll then put that knowledge to work in a required internship with a local manufacturer.
For an added bonus, you will earn Miami’s Manufacturing Fundamentals Microcredential once you complete the first 9 ENT credit hours.
Certificate programs are a smart investment. Not only will you have the learning skills that you need to start your career in manufacturing but you will be learning them at Miami University Regionals, recognized as being top in the state for students’ return on investment.
Students who earn the certificate can enter the workforce and continue seamlessly toward earning an associate or bachelor’s degree in one of Miami Regionals Engineering Technology programs. They can also earn additional certificates at educational institutions across the state.

Talent development can be an expensive proposition. Many companies struggle with finding qualified entry-level candidates that have up-to-date skills to meet the ever-changing needs of the sector.
By partnering with Miami University Regionals new manufacturing foundations certificate program, you get access to students who are obtaining hands-on experience and knowledge of basic manufacturing processes. We teach them to work as a member of a team to communicate effectively, solve problems, and improve productivity.
Our new certificate program includes a required internship. By opening your company to an intern, you are creating a mutually beneficial relationship. Your intern gains valuable hands-on experience they can apply in the future. Your company could gain an employee if the intern returns after graduation.
