This Latin Placement is intended to help you by providing information which can be used to determine what level of Latin at Miami would be best suited for you. We cannot emphasize too strongly that you have nothing to gain by cheating on this Placement. Failure to be as honest as possible will result in your being placed in a Latin course which requires proficiency you do not have or, if you intentionally do poorly, you will be placed in a low level Latin course and take longer to fulfill the foreign language requirement.
Please let the Placement be an honest and accurate measurement of your Latin proficiency. During summer orientation you will be able to discuss the results of this Placement with an adviser.
PLEASE REMEMBER! If you are taking this placement test within 48 hours of your registration period, please expect that you may not be able to register for the course you intend. Results from this Canvas placement may take up to two (2) business days to process into the university systems, depending on the time of day you've taken the placement.
