Miami University is pleased to announce our intention to host our Spring 2021 Commencement as multiple, divisional, in-person ceremonies, in Yager Stadium on the Oxford campus, the weekend of May 14–16, 2021. At this time we expect to accommodate up to six (6) guests per graduate. This will be a ticketed event with those details provided to each degree candidate in the coming weeks. Ceremonies will be live-streamed for viewing by those unable to attend in person.
Each Divisional Ceremony will incorporate remarks from President Crawford and our 2021 Commencement Speaker Carolyn Jefferson-Jenkins. As is typical of all divisional ceremonies, degree candidates in attendance will have the opportunity to hear their name announced, walk across the stage, receive a diploma cover, and be photographed.
We are working closely with the Butler County Health District to ensure proper distancing and health/safety strategies are in place to help minimize the risk of coronavirus transmission. All participants, graduates, guests, and staff will be required to wear a facemask and maintain social distancing during the events.
Please check back frequently, as further details will be posted as they become available.
Each ceremony will be live-streamed from Miami University's YouTube account. You will access the YouTube May 2021 Commencements playlist and then find the divisional ceremony that you want to watch. You can share this link with friends and family that want to tune in.
We also invite you to watch this recorded address from the student body president of the Associated Student Government, Jannie Kamara.
