Scholarships and Funding

Corporal Olivas Valor Award

These scholarships are awarded to one or more students majoring in Criminal Justice.  Preference given to students who have previously served or are currently serving in the United States armed forces.

Criteria for Application Submission

  • Declared major in criminal justice (BSCJ or AASCJ)
  • A one (1) page essay that describes why the student is deserving of the award and a description of their previous or current military experience if applicable
  • Completed a minimum of 15 hours at Miami Regionals with a 2.5 GPA or higher
  • Full-time enrollment
  • Demonstrate interest in future employment and/or leadership within the field of criminal justice
  • Provide a copy of their Degree Audit Report (DAR)

Scholarship Application

John P. Williams Family Fund

For Prekindergarten Education students with demonstrated financial need, upon graduation, the John P. Williams Family Fund will pay your Ohio Department of Education Associate Prekindergarten License fee in total.

TEACH Early Childhood®

TEACH Early Childhood® OHIO is a compensation and retention program for Child Care professionals. Active in 23 states, TEACH is designed to address education, compensation and turnover issues that affect the early childhood field. Assistance is available for the cost of tuition, books, and related education expenses.
