Glenn Platt
Biography
Glenn Platt is the C. Michael Armstrong Professor of Emerging Technology at Miami University. After receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and his Masters and PhD from Carnegie Mellon, he joined Miami University, where he founded the Department of Emerging Technology in Business and Design. He also led the creation of the nationally ranked game design program, the first division one varsity esports program, Miami’s Bay Area entrepreneurship internship program, and graduate programs in tech entrepreneurship as well as esports management. Miami has been ranked the number one university for esports. Glenn is the creator of “the flipped classroom”, one of the most impactful shifts in education in the last 20 years and is Past President of the International Digital Media and Arts Association and present President of VOICE (Voice of InterCollegiate Esports), a non-profit advocacy organization. Glenn has presented at SXSW twice as well as TEDx and consults with Fortune 500 companies about games and business. Glenn is presently writing a book about actionable gamification for businesses and is co-founder of Lyceum AI, an EdTech AI solution for classroom use.
