Miami University acknowledges and complies with The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), a Federal law that protects the privacy of student education records, both financial and academic. FERPA limits release of student record information without the student's written consent; however, it also gives the student's parent(s)/guardian(s) the right to review those records, without the student’s consent, if the parent(s)/ guardian(s) claim the student as a dependent on their Federal Income Tax Return.

Any enrolled student in the Master’s Degree/Dietetic Internship program may request access to their personal files at any time. Formal records kept by the University may be accessed through the Registrar’s office. The Dietetic Internship Director keeps a file on each intern related to progression through the Dietetic Internship and can be requested at any time. Advising files and grades can also be requested at any time and are generally accessible through the Degree Audit Report System online document or the Student Success Collaborative System.
