SASI Workshop

Looking to hire interns already skilled in process control and industry automation?

Your company can offer sponsorships to Miami students to participate in the Systems Automation Springboard to Internships (SASI) workshop. Sponsoring companies will have the opportunity to select one or more students from a competitive pool of applicants to support through the training and then hire for a summer internship. Students who complete SASI arrive onsite for their summer internship equipped with role-specific skills and ready to contribute from day one.

What is the Systems Automation Springboard to Internships (SASI) Workshop?

The SASI workshop (Systems Automation Springboard to Internships) is an intensive three-week, hands-on internship training program focused on process control and industrial automation. Students are sponsored by industry partners for their participation in the workshop. Following completion of the workshop, these students are then hired for a summer internship by the sponsoring company. The SASI workshop takes place each January at Miami University’s College of Engineering and Computing, and prepares students for “The Fourth Industrial Revolution” which fuses AI, robotics, the Internet of Things, quantum computing, and other technologies.

Sponsoring companies are invited to lead a half-day of instruction during the SASI workshop if desired. This session offers a valuable opportunity to increase a company’s brand visibility among students while demonstrating how engineering concepts are applied within a specific industry. CEC faculty are available to collaborate with sponsoring companies to develop content and create instructional strategies.
